Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Adds Third Building in Westchester County

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., announced it was moving forward with an expansion that will invest close to $40 million and create 300 new jobs in New York.  Regeneron will add a third building to its research facility at BioMed Realty Trust Inc.’s, The Landmark at Eastview campus in Greenburgh, Westchester County.

New York State Set Aside $21.5 Million for Stem Cell Research

Governor Paterson made $21.5 million in State funding available for stem cell research in New York State through the release of two Requests for Applications (RFAs). This investment underscores New York’s commitment to stem cell research and its potential to strengthen the State’s position as a national leader in biomedical research.

New York State Set Aside $300 Million for Renewable Energy Projects
 
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in conjunction with the Public Service Commission (PSC), will provide nearly $300 million for renewable energy projects under the Renewable Portfolio Standard Program (RPS), which will help accelerate the development of New York’s clean energy economy. With these awards, New York continues to invest in clean energy to achieve Governor Paterson’s goal of meeting 45 percent of the State’s energy needs through energy efficiency and renewable energy by 2015.

 

6/1/2009: Governor Paterson Announces CVS/Pharmacy to Open New Distribution Center in Southern Tier

CVS/Pharmacy Creating 600 New Jobs With New Facility in Chemung County

CVS/pharmacy will construct a 750,000 square foot distribution center in Chemung County. Empire State Development (ESD) will provide the company with a $4 million JOBS Now Capital grant to be disbursed in 2011 as project milestones are completed.
